OK, well, I have nothing really to report other than I finally got my frame back from Steve's. That too way too long, with equal blame going to both me and Steve. The project ground to a standstill (family came first... we had another baby!!!) and I was basically lazy about prodding Steve to get it done. Looks like Steve did a good job getting the tabs back in order and lining up the oil tank and battery box. I'll post a picture soon. Now the ball is back in my court. Here's the 7-step short term plan (and I'll post pictures soon):
1. Order the new oil seals and bushings for the forks.
2. Order the aluminum alloy tubing to fix the one shroud/headlamp bracket.
3. Strip, prime, and paint the painted bits on the forks.
4. Do the epoxy work on the one fork tube.
5. Put forks back together.
6. Finish stripping frame and swing-arm.
7. Prime and paint the frame and swing arm.
Once I have all that stuff underway, I need to start in on the wheels and hubs. After wheels and hubs are sorted, then I'm basically ready to get back to rolling chassis status (whereupon, no doubt, I'll proceed to let this project stagnate once again, optimist that I am).
